The Asha series of smartphones have once again kindled tremendous interest on Nokia. Here, Nokia Asha 201 Versus Nokia Asha 202 Almost Similar! Articles we look at the Nokia Asha 201 and the Nokia Asha 202 and see how they fare when pitted against each other.

The Nokia Asha 201 is the earlier entrant to the UK mobile phone market place while the Nokia Asha 202 came slightly later. Though it has to be said, the gap in the release dates of the two smartphones is just a few days and does not amount to much. This means that neither smartphone has got any head way here in the market place and their launches have been almost simultaneous.

First let us look at the Nokia Asha 201 Deals smartphone handset. Weighing just a very acceptable 105 gms, the Asha 201 evokes the right kind of feelings in the valued customer when he or she looks at it for the first time. It has got the classic form factor adopted for itself when it comes to design. Now this clicks very well for a middle level smartphone device that offers you both the conventional full QWERTY key board as well as the touch sensitive display screen.

The Nokia Asha 201 sports a very attractive 2.4 inches wide colour transmissive LCD TV that displays images, etc at a high resolution. You then have the 2G, GPRS. EGPRS, Bluetooth technology, EDGE, etc catering to the net connectivity and data networking requirements.

The operating software is proprietary only. The camera is two mega pixels and returns 1200 x 1600 pixels resolution still images as well as video footage. It also has 4x digital zoom supporting it.

The Nokia Asha 202, on the other hand, has more or less similar features and similar enough technical specifications. Here again, there is a 2.4 inches wide touchscreen along with a alpha numeric key pad. The 2G net connectivity along with the presence of the Nokia browser are all there as is there on the Nokia Asha 201 phone. The camera is also two mega pixel. The only difference as far as we can make out is in the fact that the Nokia Asha 202 device does not have the full QWERTY key board as is there on the Nokia Asha 201 phone handset. But apart from this, there is not much to separate the two smartphones.
