Palm Springs,A Palm Springs Vacation Can Be Fun for the Whole Family Articles California, is an outstanding vacation destination with its nearly perfect weather, abundant sunshine, and plenty of attractions to keep you entertained. While there is no way to list all the fun you can have in Palm Springs, here are some of my favorite Palm Springs attractions that I hope you'll enjoy, too!

The Annenberg Theater, located in the lower level of the Palm Springs Art Museum, is home to dozens of lively jazz, dance, comedy and vocal group performances each year in this 433-seat state-of-the-art theater.

Art is a large part of the social strata of Palm Springs with galleries featuring the work of such notable artists as Kate Buckley, Helga King and Thomas Kinkade and offering a lavish addition to the city's culture.

Speaking of culture, be sure to visit the Palm Springs Art Museum, which offers a variety of art and theater-related events throughout the year. Or stop by the Palm Spring Air Museum where you'll discover one of the nation's largest collections of World War II aircraft and daily documentaries about military aviation, specifically during World War II.

Another fun-filled entertainment prospect is the Fabulous Palm Springs Follies, billed as "a world-famous, Broadway-caliber celebration of the music, dance, and comedy of the 40s, 50s, and 60s with a cast old enough to have lived it!" This is definitely worth the price of admission!

Shopping opportunities abound here with shops offering everything from traditional favorites such as Pottery Barn and Talbots, to more unique venues like Vilebrequin or the Olive Tree Boutique.

And you don't want to miss the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway where you'll ascend over two and a half miles on the world's largest revolving tramcar to view untouched snow-capped peaks and dine—seemingly, at the top of the world!

If you prefer a quieter activity, try the Indian Canyons for a beautiful retreat away from the glitz and glitter of the city. Relax by the stream, splash in the water, or enjoy a picnic lunch while waiting for a glimpse of the "Witch of Tahquitz Canyon," an eerie shadow occasionally seen in the canyon.

The Moorten Botanical Garden is another relaxing option, offering a view of the "World's First Cactarium," that has been inspiring visitors with its collection of over 3,000 desert plants and cacti for more than 60 years.

Of course, you'll need comfortable lodging for your stay, and many options are available. Choose from the Palm Canyon Resort with its 1.5 acre swimming pool, large sun deck, lush grottos, whirlpool spa, and impressive water slides for children and adults.

Or consider The Adriatic Villa, where you'll discover beautiful mountain vistas, and all the comforts and amenities of home surrounded by the stunning beauty of the Southern California desert.

Whatever your preference, there are opportunities galore for a fun-filled vacation for families, couples and individuals of all ages. These are just a few of my favorite Palm Springs attractions... I hope they help you choose your own!
