Bangalore is the capital city of Karnataka State of India. This city is also known as 'Silicon Valley of India' or 'IT Capital of India'. It is now known as Bengaluru. The city has a large number of Research Institutes and many headquarters of many Multi National companies. Bangalore is a major economic and cultural hub of India.

This city is growing at a rate of 10% annually which is major factor that attracts foreign investments in Bangalore. Bangalore is the leading software exporter of India. Bangalore is also becoming the major center for research and development of new technologies like Nano Technology and Bio Technology.

The Bengaluru International Airport serves this city. Air Deccan and Kingfisher Airlines are the major players in this region. This airport is fourth busiest airport in India.

Railways:

There is an extensive connectivity with the Indian Railways network. Bangalore comes under the control of South Western Railway Zone. Almost all popular express trains like connect this city to other parts of the country. Bengaluru Metro is also being developed to give this city a world-class public transport system.

Roadways:

The city of Bangalore is well connected by National and State highways. The local transport is provided by Buses, Taxis and Autos. Bus services are provided by Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation which is a reliable means of transport within the city.
