Getting to Kos and transport

You can get to the island of Kos by either taking a flight or the local ferry. It is much advised that you take a local ferry if you wish to get a good firsthand experience of the place. However, for those who’d like to get a glimpse of the whole island without any obstruction, it’s better to fly. Once inside the area, you can travel from place to place either by walking or by taking the local bus. There are plenty of buses available to almost every small town in this island. You can rely on these services and visit far off places like Fokas, Mesaria, Psalidi, Kardamena, etc. However, it will also be wise if you keep the bus timings handy as it might turn out that you wouldn’t find another bus for an hour or so; but such mishaps rarely happen at Kos.

You can find reasonably good services and facilities at the international airport. You can find snacks, cold drinks and so on so even if you are delayed you don’t have to worry about anything. The place is completely air-conditioned and you can find a good number of seats as well.
