Aspen Ski Passes being Sold for $25,000

For travelers wealthy enough not to be motivated to fly using cheap airplane tickets or stay at discount hotel rooms, an Aspen $25,000 ski pass might be attractive.

Being referred to as the “Ultimate Pass,” its purchase will help keep the World Cup racing tradition alive,Aspen Ski Passes being Sold for $25,000 Articles according to the Aspen Skiing Company which is selling these passes.

Holders of the Ultimate Pass are given unlimited first tracks before chairlifts open to the public.  Other benefits include being able to meet members of the U.S. Women’s Ski Team when they race in Aspen over Thanksgiving weekend as well as breakfast with The President of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association.

Ultimate Ski pass owners are allowed to bring up to three friends and can take a private tour of the four ski areas of Aspen Snowmass and ride on a snowcat on a grooming mission.  A behind the scenes tour with a ski patrol is yet another perk being offered.

This pass is transferable and valid at Aspen Highlands, Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk, and Snowmass.

To date one such pass has sold.  Historically two or three Ultimate Passes sell each season.

The predecessor to the Ultimate Pass was the Foundation Mountain Pass, which raised money for the Aspen Community Fund and a foundation connected to the owners.  That pass was good for four seasons and sold for $135,000.
