Located on Main Street,Best Bets for Breakfast in Carson Articles Ted’s Burgers is known for having some of the biggest breakfast burritos in Carson, and maybe the majority of the Southern California area. Ted’s also has some great traditional favorites like omelets and steak and eggs. You can choose to dine in or if you’re in a hurry you can use the drive through and get your order to go. If you are wanting to get an early start on your day, Ted’s is the place because they open early at 6am seven days a week. You are sure to enjoy friendly service from an efficient waitstaff to help get your day started right.

Another burger join in Carson that is known for their great breakfast menu is Frontier Burgers, located on East Carson Street. This friendly and clean restaurant has some great breakfast burritos as well as various egg/meat combo platters and pancakes. The portions are generous, the prices are low and the staff is quick and helpful. Frontier Burger is open early at 6:30 am everyday and has a pretty good lunch menu you. You shouldn't be surprised if you end up returning for a snack or meal at lunch time.  

 If you’re looking for something a little more worldly for breakfast, you’ll want to head to Jollibee located on Avalon Boulevard. This quaint establishment offers up some very authentic Filipino breakfast meals. Perhaps the most popular menu choice here for breakfast is the TapSiLog. This is a traditional Filipio breakfast that includes fried rice, scrambled eggs and slices of cured beef. Jollibee always offers friendly and quick service as well as very generous portions; plus you can get breakfast at any time during the day.  

Another place to get a traditional and authentic Filipino breakfast is Valerio's Tropical Bake Shop, which can be found on West Carson Street. However, the emphasis here seems to be on baked goods such as pastries, breads and various sweets. While there is no seating at Valerio's, there is a warm, friendly atmosphere and breakfast items are made for grab-and-go portability. One of the local favorites is the pan de sal, which is fried spam with white rice and fried eggs covered with whipped butter and a tasty banana sauce.

Located just a block or two down from Jollibee on Avalon Boulevard you will find a small restaurant known as Yellow Basket. This friendly restaurant is well-known in the area for their delectable burgers and sandwiches at lunch time, but they have a pretty impressive breakfast as well. For the price you pay, the portions are very generous and the friendly and fast service is a definitely nice bonus.

If visiting Redondo Beach, you definitely have to have breakfast at the Original Pancake House which is located on the South Pacific Coast Highway. However, you don’t have to be going to Redondo Beach to have breakfast here as it is just 15 minutes from Carson on the other side of Torrance. This is a landmark in the Southern California area and the service is always friendly. The Original Pancake House opens at 7 each morning, but it can get pretty crowded on weekends so its best to get there a littler earlier than you plan on getting there.

For the best chicken fried steak, corned beef hash and biscuits and gravy, you have to go to Eat at Rudy’s. This cozy restaurant can be found on Post Avenue in Torrance, just 2 miles west of Carson. Eat at Rudy’s is open early everyday at 6 am, and has that American diner look and feel. You can choose to eat outdoors or indoors and just keep in mind that Eat at Rudy’s does not accept credit cards, checks or debit cards; they only accept cash so be prepared.

Hot-N-Tot has been a local favorite for decades and serves up large portions of all of the best traditional breakfast meals. You can find Hot-N-Tot five miles south from Carson in Lomita, on the Pacific Coast Highway.
