Voted the happiest place to live and home to the best beach in the UK, Bournemouth oozes that ‘something’ of the perfect British town. It’s quaint when it needs to be yet flamboyant on occasion. Split into five main suburbs, each presents its visitor with something entirely different, but with that certain Bournemouth charm.

·        Southbourne – Home to one of Bournemouth’s three Blue Flag beaches, Southbourne is the perfect place for those wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the relaxed attitude that this suburb exudes. The award winning beach provides for the perfect place to relax throughout the day, whilst the landscapes are fantastically lit, offering the perfect backdrop to a romantic evening meal.

  • Boscombe – Renowned for its Boscombe Pier, the surrounding beach is a sanctuary for British surfers. There are a multitude of quirky outlets in Boscombe, allowing for some extremely unusual gifts to be purchased. Like Southbourne, Boscombe has some fantastic gardens that are worth a stroll through, whilst not forgetting its centre, which boasts a variety of high street shopping names which will fulfil even the most exuberant shopper.

·         East Cliff and Central East – The ideal place to stay if wishing to sample all the delights of Bournemouth, Central East is home to the Travel Interchange, allowing for easy access to all parts of Bournemouth and Dorset. With a fantastic museum to Merton and Annie Russel Cotes, the pair who started the development of Bournemouth, it plays host to a large selection of their memorabilia taken from all over the world.

Not only a great place to rest your head at night in one of the many Bournemouth hotels, East Cliff and Central East provide celebrity shows at the famous Pavilion – the perfect way to end an evening after a memorable meal in one of Bournemouth’s many gastronomic delights.

·        West Cliff and Central West – Playing host to a second Blue Flag beach, West Cliff and Central West are the ideal areas for families. The sun kissed beaches and sparkling blue seas are ideal for spending the long, hot summer days at whilst the many shops offer something for everyone, regardless of how much of a shopping fanatic you may be.  Taking in one of the many famous restaurants in this popular suburb, a relaxing stroll through one of the three gardens can be finished with a round of golf or a game of tennis. 

·         Alum Chine and Westbourne – The fifth Bournemouth suburb houses the famous tropical gardens. Walking through palm trees and jungle foliage, the sometimes-dreary British weather is taken away and you’re whisked away to an exotic island far away. That is, until you find the shoppers haven that’s housed here and the fantastic range of restaurants on offer.
