Businesswomen wear conservative suits in blue or gray, dresses, pantsuits, blouses and skirts. You will not enter most of restaurants without a tie – you will not be let in. However, there are many places of lower level, where you can come being dressed in everyday clothes (not in sporting or beach clothes). Consequently, we may conclude that clothing in Taiwan does not differ from the rest of the world – people like to be dressed in stylish clothes and follow European norms of etiquette.

In Taiwan people are dressed the same way as Americans or Europeans do. However, there are some details concerning dress code a person should remember. There are certain rules of appearance even when you rest in the company of your colleagues. Undoubtedly, you should not be dressed businesslike as you are dressed in an office, but all the same, you have to follow some rules of corporate style. It is easier to choose what to wear if the party is connected with some particular topic or if the form of clothing is included in the invitation letter. In the first case, it is enough to use your imagination and to wear something similar to your conception of cow-boys or heroes of the third millennium. In the second case, you must study the invitation letter very carefully and select appropriate clothing. The adherence to dress code rules is obligatory.

Business clothes comply with the same norms as in the West. Women wear conservative suits in blue or gray, elegant dresses, pantsuits, blouses and skirts. For example, men have to wear suits and ties with good leathern foot-wear. When it is hot, when it is impossible to wear suit, it is desirable to have a jacket. Summarizing, dress code in Taiwan comply with the same norms as in the USA or Europe. It is always necessary to be dressed businesslike and to wear conservative suits at meetings in an office.
