For a sweet little visit that is not too physically challenging, going to the Wildlife Center is a great idea. You can take a short walk through the greenery of the park or just check out all the interesting info at the center. There is also right there the lovely Green Tree Frog Cafe. This is a wonderful spot to have an afternoon beer and sandwich or bring the whole family to lunch. The proximity to the park makes it a very peaceful place to have a snack. They have a wonderful breakfast menu on Sundays as well.

Animal sighting are not uncommon for hikers footing their way through the park. The wildlife center displays animal exhibits that consist of snakes and lizard type reptiles that call this area home. This park also shares its glory with the Enogerra Reservoir. This Reservoir is reachable by one of the walking trails within the park and is great for hikers who want to go the distance and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.

They also have some nice programs here that will keep people active and learning while having fun. For those school children that are lucky enough to live in the region they have some excellent educational programs. The Go Bush nature programs offers some excellent classes for both kids and adults to learn field skills. They will take you on bushwalks, bird walks, and other interesting adventures.

For many people the main attraction of this area is all the animals. There are many different kinds of creatures that call this area home. The cool waters of the mountain springs are home to some fascinating creatures, such as great barred frogs and spiny crawfish. These streams are just a small part of the natural area here. You can see owls if you are lucky. They love it here because of the dining possibilities of bandicoots, possums, and snakes. There are also many other beautiful birds that are easier to spot at the daytime.
