Thailand is South East Asia's top holiday destination,Holiday in Thailand Articles it is easy to see why with its vast range of activities,  beautiful beaches, great trekking and a wild nightlife. Even if you dont like that their is the cheap shopping, the designer fakes at cheap prices are always a big hit with the  tourists, the wood carvings, pirated DVD's and game are always popular with the kids. So there is usually something for  everyone. If you are going to be in Bangkok any time during your holiday around Thailand, I suggest you do your shopping  there as it will be the cheapest.
Some other great places to visit, if you love the beach, then probaly Koh Chang, Hua Hin, Phuket, Trang, Koh Samui and  Koh Samet are probably the best places to visit, from there they have many different tours on offer so there is no  shortage of activities. Phuket is the most popular of the lot, but it also has the most dirtiest beaches of the lot, if you are going to Thailand and after nice beaches, I would suggest Koh Chang.
If you like the bush or trekking, I would say Chiang Mai, Khao Yai and Khao Sok are the best places to go to. Chiang Mai  is up north and is a little cooler than the other 2 destinations, but I would Say Khao Sok is the best place to go as  there is more activities to do, it is the most diverse rainforest in the world and have a lot more wildlife then the  other 2. Khao Sok is great for diving, rubber tubbing, bird watching, jungle survival and has many more activities. It  is one of the emerging places in Thailand and Khao Sok is the place to visit in 2011.
