I am 100% sure that most experienced (or not) travelers that have visited Greece would recommend this wonderful country as one of their favorite holiday destinations.

I am 100% sure that most experienced (or not)  travelers that have visited Greece would recommend this wonderful country as one of their favorite holiday destinations.
Greece has the tenth longest coastline in the world at 14,880 km (9,246 mi) in length, featuring an enormous number of islands (approximately 1400, of which only 227 are

inhabited).

The Cyclades  is a Greek island group in the Aegean Sea, south-east of the mainland of Greece and consist of about 220 islands, the major ones being Amorgós, Anáf,

Ándros, Antíparos, Dlos, Eschát, Íos, Kéa, KímMlos, Kýthnos, Mlos, Mýkonos, Náxos, Páros, Folégandros, Sérifos, Sífnos, Síkinos, Sýros, Tnos, and Thra or Santoríni.

Most of the smaller islands are uninhabited. The last one, Santorini, happens to be one of the most picturesque and beautiful islands in Greece and a must for every
traveler. Rich in natural beauty and wonderful beaches is a renown holiday resort.

There are many ways in a traveler can access the island of Santorini.

By plane: Santorini is one of the few Cycladic Islands with a major airport. It is about 6 km southeast of the city of Thira. The airport serves both as a military
and as a civil airport. The air terminal is easily accessible  through buses, taxis, hotel car-pickups and rental cars.

By ferry:Santorini  has many ports and ferries

are also ferries that travel to Greek islands. Specifically for the tourists that come from central Europe and travel through Italy there are ferries to Patra(Greece) where

the visitor can directly take buses to the port of Piraeus and from there to Santorini by ferry.

Santorini, just like the other Greek islands, is most preferably visited during the summer months because of the Mediterranean

climate that Greece has that enables tourists to enjoy their holiday to the full.
