Ipoh is a city in Malaysia which has made fortunes of many a miner in the heydays of Tin. The town, once with only some dilapidated buildings has grown into a city that gets attention from the Industrials, Businessmen and educators. Ipoh deserves acclamation for maintaining its value even after the demise of Tin industry. It is still the center of investment, education, business and social activities. It closely resembles the capital city of Kuala Lumpur.

Ipoh Railway Station is the biggest landmark of the city. It is quite impressive. The station features both Gothic and Moorish architecture aided with modern establishment. Some people call “Taj mahal of Ipoh.” The compound of the Railway Station comprises of Ipoh tree,Ipoh: A Graceful City Articles a poisonous tree whose sap facilitated people to make fatal dart for their blow pipes. Beautiful garden surrounds this place. So for visitors arriving by rail, it is a welcome entry to the city.

In the list of other worth visiting destinations are neocolonial style building and Ipoh Clock Tower. Ipoh Tower is in the memory of the first British Resident J.W.W. Birch who was assassinated by Malay chieftains. Food is another specialty for which Ipoh is famous. "Hor Fun" the famous Ipoh noodles is one of the most palatable foods prepared through Chinese cooking style. Fish Balls are very popular amongst the tourists. Hotels in Ipoh, Malaysia, are wonderful and well equipped to render you a complete comfort.
