Cruises And Dolphin Cruises

Ever been close enough to a dolphin for a kiss? Orange Beach offers some wonderful ocean cruises where you can see all the aquatic life frolicking below the boat's glass bottom. It's great to see these animals in their natural environment doing what they always do. Dolphin sightings are common and they're sometimes almost close enough to reach out and touch.

Nightlife And Entertainment

All year round at Orange Beach there is music, dancing and stuff happening. There is always something going on, whether it's the Mardi Gras parade in March, or the many outdoor concerts in the summertime. Historic Interest

You may go there for the beaches, but Orange Beach also has a colorful and vibrant history. It was the location of several battles during the Civil War. At attractions like Fort Morgan, you can see where an important battle in American history was played out. There are lots of unique historical attractions located in the area for the history buff in you.

The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo

This small zoo has a big variety of animals. Tucked just steps away from the beaches, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo boasts a collection of lions, tigers, bears and monkeys. It also has an aviary, a reptile house, a petting zoo and animal shows. It's well worth a stop here for an afternoon or morning of saying "hi" to the animals if you're going to be in the area.

Unique Deep Sea Fishing

At Orange Beach, you can take a guided tour way out into the water and fish for creatures of the deep that you won't find anywhere else. If you're not into getting out that far in the water, you can fish off of its 825 foot fishing pier or enjoy fishing at its 900-acre lake stocked with freshwater fish.

And don't worry - there's golf. The island has an eighteen hold championship course where lots of the pros have swung their clubs. It's another great way to fill a morning when you're staying here. You can enjoy all the local attractions and still get your golf fix.
