Known for it popular Lauberhorn downhill run, it is dominated by  the surrounding Eiger, Jungfrau, and Monch slopes. Apres ski is restrained with only a few night bars and clubs but tourists will also not run out of activities or village places to go. Wengen is not just purely for skiing. Access
Wengen is accessible only by cog train going to the resort so the best option that you have is to use the rails in getting there. Like Zermatt, Wengen is also a car free village. Travelling by car can be done of course, but you must still take the train going to the resort anyway, and end up paying for extra parking services. Lots in the parking areas also need to be reserved in advance. From the parking area, a shuttle train with CHF6 fare is available to escort you to the resort. You can choose to start your trip from Geneva airport, which is about four hours away by train and three hours away by car to the ski village. Other airports are Zurich, with three hours travel time to the resort,  Basel, with two and a half hours travel time, and the nearest airport, Bern, which is only an hours drive away from the skiing destination.

Taking the train from London is a nine-hour transfer, and you also have to make a change in Paris and in Geneva for a train service going to the Interlaken area. From there, ride through the BOB and WAB railways with the Lauternrunnen – Wengen connection, and you can reach the resort in just 45 minutes.
