The Dior Saddle Bag designed by John Galliano is definitely an eye-catcher. This bag becomes a hot item for a long time due to its charming vintage western look, its flashy antiqued silver hardware and accessories. The focal point is at the oversized polished silver metal “D” charm dangling from the top flap and a leather shoulder strap with polished silver metal “CD” charms. The Saddle Bag made several appearances on Sex and The City, most notably the episode when Carrie and Big fell into the pond in Central Park and Big had to swim to retrieve it.

In 2007, in honour of 10th anniversary at the Dior house, he re-worked his famous saddle bag for 12 different styles, which represent the 12 countries, including Argentina, Mexico, France, Russia, Morocco, Spain, China, USA, India, Japan, Egypt and England. Galliano was inspired by his travels around the world to create the collection and each piece was designed with special characteristics from the country it represents. John Galliano once said, "The story behind the Saddle bag creation is a great example of how haute couture ideas can enrich another lines of ready-to-wear. Nowadays, seven years after its creation, the Saddle Bag, is one of the most wanted bags".
