Some occupations allow the craftsman to make a mistake, but not that of the diamond cutter. A large rough uncut diamond has the potential of being worth millions. One slip on the part of the cutter and the stone can become worthless.

Craftsmanship in diamonds is very important as it is the cut that enhances the sparkle of a diamond.
