World-renowned Israeli jewellery designer Ayala Bar has lifted the lid on what inspires her to create her exquisite pieces,Top Jewellery designer Ayala Bar reveals her inspirations. Articles which have taken the shops by storm. Ayala Bar told the web-site jewishgiftplace.com:” Artistic inclination was in my family. I started with mosaic-like creativity following a vivid childhood memory of my Uncle Moeez. He used to immerse objects in fresh cement: photos, seashells, ceramic parts, evil-eye beads. “As a child, this was fascinating. I was in awe. As a young adult: this memory surfaced and served as a reference. At that time, gold and silver dominated the world of jewellery, but I wanted to break loose and expand. “Obviously, cement was not the direction, although I must admit that the concept of using adhesive to form a miniature collage of assorted stones and beads on metal parts wasn't that far from that childhood vision. Ayala Bar added. The jewellery produced by Ayala Bar is distinctive for its beautiful balance and use of poignant colour, which has helped make her an international name in accessories. The delicate signatures of deftly crafted detail and hand-made excellence have made the Ayala Bar collections stand out in the world of contemporary jewellery. So does Ayala Bar have any advice for designers who are just starting out? “Never ever stop playing, and not to be limited with concepts. The actual process is the way, whether it is successful or not, whether it turns up popular or not. She says.  “If, and when the creativity does result in accomplishment and/or critical acclaim, one should not surrender to the feeling of comfort. Such an attitude may result in loss of creativity.” Ayala Bar added. Jewellery enthusiast Claudia Jonkers, who runs Cloud Cuckoo Land, a shop in the market town of Lymington that specialises in interior decor and gifts said: “It is fascinating to hear Ayala Bar talk about what inspires her outstanding pieces. “She is an artist who I very much admire and has caused an absolute sensation among collectors of this type of jewellery.” She added.
