Brief biography:

I received my Bachelorís degree in Dietetics from Indiana University and went on to complete an internship through the IU School of Medicine in Indianapolis (IUPUI). I have worked as a community dietitian and taught nutrition at a community college, but have spent most of my career as a Clinical Dietitian in a hospital.

Currently, I spend most of my time as a work-at-home mom of two beautiful kiddos, as a co-owner of the Indiana Weight Loss and Wellness Institute (indianaweightloss.net) and as owner of Books by April (booksbyapril.com).

I am passionate about teaching others how to eat healthier and lose weight in the most practical, painless way possible. I hope to convince my readers to stop wasting their time and money on quick-fix weight loss methods that leave them worse off in the end. I am confident that my "no non-sense" approach to weight loss is the key to long-term maintenance of a healthy weight.
