Brief biography:
Lori Dernavich, President of Step Ahead Consulting, works with companies that are experiencing frustration as they try to bring great talent into their organizations but then face the problems of this talent not meeting expectations or fitting into their roles and environment. This ultimately leads to poor job performance and ineffective teams. She is a behavioral assessment expert specializing in job candidate assessments and team assessments. Lori has a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, has traveled extensively as a corporate leadership developer and trainer for the UNICCO Service company, and spent several years serving as a senior recruiting consultant in the high tech industry.
Some of her clients include the executive teams of Absolut Spirits Co., Legal Sea Foods, Dover Electronics, Vectron International, MRO Software, Lumidigm, ADCO Electric, Pillar Financial, and Verizon. Lori is a Certified Professional Behavior Analyst and specializes in the administration and interpretation of the DISC and PIAV assessments. She is a Board Director and Membership Chair for the New England Society for Applied Psychology and a member of the Northeast Human Resources Association. She has been published in SmartMoney magazine, MassHighTech, Women's Business Boston, and HR Executive Magazine.
