Rodney K. Erb graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1971 and his career started out as an Army Officer for 8 years attaining the rank of Captain. CPT Erb received the Bronze Star for service in Vietnam and was awarded several Army Commendation Medals and Honorably Discharged in 1979. Mr. Erb joined corporate life in 1980 and had assignments with prestigious Corporations such as United Technologies Corporation (UTC), Citicorp/Citibank, Merrill Lynch and The Hartford Insurance Group. Many of his poems and book were written during his commute to these assignments in New York City from Fairfield, Connecticut.
He has been published in “Of Moonlight and Wishes” and “The Sound of Poetry” as part of the National Library of Poetry. His book “The Trilogy of The Legend of Friends: A Poetic Experience for Children of all Ages" was published by 1st Books on 08/28/02.
Mr. Erb has been married 37 years to K.C. and they have 3 wonderful children who are now all successful adults. They also have three grandchildren; first grandson, Gabriel Kevin Daignault; first granddaughter, Abigail Faith Daignault; second granddaughter, Isabella Simon Erb that have made me the proudest grandfather in the universe!
