A regional campus in the Indiana University system, Indian University  Southwest is located in Floyd County , New Albany in the state of Indiana of United States. It is part of metropolitan Louisville , Kentucky area in south central Indian. Originally the university was set up to allow the fishermen and sophomore students take their classes in close proximity to their residence before transferring to Indiana University campus.
