A private and historically black college, Philander Smith College is located in Little Rock , Arkansas in United States . Affiliated to the United Methodist Church , the college is known as a school for African Americans. Students of all races are accepted here though majority of the students are black. Well known for its non-violent opposition to policies of segregation, it is one of the oldest academies in Arkansas .
