Meditation, breathing exercises and visual imagery may lower the blood pressure and lessen the bodily signs of panic and anxiety. But it doesn't remove the function of anxiety for those that need it to motivate and drive them. Some of us require the internal push to achieve our goals, to feel accomplished and be proud of ourselves. When we don't value ourselves, we have to use anxiety as the fuel to make our engines work.  Taking away the fuel without finding suitable alternatives is a dangerous thing to do. Learning why you don't value yourself is step one in the process.
