Santa Claus, internationally-known bearer of gifts and good tidings, was recently relieved of all of his Christmas responsibilities, due to the widespread appreciation of inner resources.

A 3-minute video,Guest Posting entitled "No Thanks, Santa!", is circulating widely over the Internet, and explaining the reasons for this sudden dismissal. This video shows Mr. Claus's strong emotional reaction to the news. The news was delivered yesterday by Joel Metzger, of Doylestown, PA, US, who gives five reasons for appreciating the gifts of life that come every day. Evidently this appreciation is widely shared and indicates a new general awareness of the qualities within, rather than possessions and items in physical reality.

Joel thanks Mr. Claus for his work and speaks highly of his effort to bring gifts to good children around the world, but then goes on to say, "The times are changing. I've been looking inside myself and discovering what I already have." Joel lists five gifts that he gets every day, such things as life itself, the feeling of beauty within and without, and the ability to reach deeply inside himself and discover a treasure. He states, "A beautiful peace is in my heart, constantly, always, whether you bring me gifts or just leave coal."

Mr. Claus is shown in the video losing his consistently jolly disposition and vociferously weeping. Joel tries to console Mr. Claus, saying, "Good luck finding another job" and he suggests, "Check the department stores downtown. They hire people like you every Christmas." Joel then walks away with his arm on Mr. Claus's shoulders, leaving viewers with the question, "Has Joel spoken harmfully to this all-time hero, or do we indeed have gifts inside of us?"

The video "No Thanks, Santa!" can be watched on the web at the Treasure Inside website along with a series of 13 videos about gifts that are allegedly possessed by every person every day. Visitors can see all the movies in this series by going to the Treasure Inside website. The series of videos is also available in a DVD collection, found on the above website.

I learned how to reach inside of myself and discover a place of deep peace and beauty. I am making these movies because it is a joy to express this personal discovery to people who are sincerely interested. I discover that my most essential possession is life itself. Pretty simple, eh? Yes, very simple, and I seek to be simple enough to truly embrace it. I am certainly not the first person to make this discovery, but that doesn't make it any smaller.

Every day I visit the beauty of feeling life inside of me. More and more, I'm connected to this inner feeling. It's like knowing I have riches in the bank. The feeling of their own beauty is everyone's birthright, whatever their path or practice. Though lots of different words are used, many people seek the same feeling of inner beauty -- yet it is very much missing in our world. On a personal level, I think it's an important ingredient for satisfaction. On a global level, I believe it can help as we solve problems. This experience is possible and this learning is available.
