  • The penis may a discharge which is green, yellow, or white in color;

  • The testicles may swell;
  • The person may also start feeling pain in the testicles.

GONORRHEA SYMPTOMS AMONG FEMALES

Women suffering from gonorrhea should be provided medical attention at the earliest. Else, the patient is at risk of developing serious complications.

Here are some of the common symptoms among females suffering from gonorrhea:

  • Burning sensation while urinating;
  • The infected person may experience painful during urination;
  • There may be bleeding from vagina between periods;
  • The patient may also have increased vaginal discharge.

BEWARE OF RECTAL & THROAT INFECTIONS

Neisseria gonorrhoeae -- the bacterium that causes gonorrhea can breed in the rectum as well as the throat. So, one should always be careful about rectal and throat infections. Immediate medical advice is must for all forms of rectal and throat infections.

However, rectal infection from the bacterium may lead to just sore throat and no other infection. Similarly, rectal infection generally does not show any symptoms at all. Nevertheless, the symptoms of rectal infection in both the sexes may be as follows:

  • Pain during bowel movements;
  • Soreness;
  • Anal itching;
  • Discharges from anus.
