Everyone knows that in order for your marketing campaign to work,A Misconception About Advertising Articles you as a business owner or advertiser should put out there attention-getting ads with either an appealing brand name or an offer that your clients can not resist. Your clients and prospects not only would be riveted to your ad, but they will surely remember it.

But have you ever wondered why you still have mediocre sales results even when your ads are working 24/7 to attract their attention? Everybody’s saying what a great ad you have especially that you’ve hired the best color printing company to produce your print materials. So what gives?

For one thing, your ad may be the most attractive among all the ads that your clients and prospects see everyday, but are they getting it? I mean, do they actually understand what you are trying to say and what you do exactly?

This is the biggest misconception there is in advertising. Even if you have that one great ad and everybody’s swearing by it, if your audience still doesn’t get what you have just said, then your invested money, time and effort are just a couple of waste resources and energy.

If you want to have a successful marketing campaign, you should offer more than just appeal and interest. Attracting your target clients’ attention is not enough to convince them to try your products and services. With so many things to divide their attention, you have to make sure that your message is appealing enough to make them want to set aside the time to think about what you have to offer.

To help you sustain your target readers’ attention, develop your color printing ads according to one of the principles of effective marketing – being pleasant.

Pleasant

People are generally attracted to anything that is inherently pleasant to their senses. We naturally try to get near those things that makes us feel good, and try to avoid that does not. So if you want to provide a compelling ad that your target clients would be hard put to resist, you need to appeal to their five senses.

You might want to consider having eye-catching visuals in your ad, especially those that are pleasant to look at. Many advertisers often use beautiful women to catch attention. This is very basic in advertising because let us face it, a beautiful face gracing an ad sure does arouse positive emotions on those looking at it. There was even a research that showed babies were definitely more attracted to a pretty face. During the experiment, the babies were prone to give a smile to prettier women and had to coax them not to shy away from those who are otherwise average looking.

And it does not end there. You also have music to integrate onto your ad. You can also infuse humor into your message.

Think about it, and make sure your ad is pleasant enough for your target clients. It will surely help you convince your target clients that dealing with you is the right decision they could ever make.
