The lion that roar more in the jungle or the lion that is calm could hunt the prey well.  The answer may appear exceptionally easy if the understanding were shallow and superficial.  Those who attempt to answer the above question with enthusiasm and euphoria may say that the lion that is calm alone can hunt the prey well.  When the lion,Advertisement crowd, who benifit in any way? Articles roar, every animal in the jungle may get alarmed and, hence stalking the prey for lion become difficult.

Only when the lion roar, it can infuse fear upon others so only the lion that roar more can be an excellent hunter, this may the version of some.   Unfortunately, both the version and views are not of lions’.   Lion knows well as when to roar and when to be calm.   Such knowledge or wisdom of lion will be extremely useful to the management schools and corporate as a whole as how to be successful in business.

Every 10 attempt of lion in hunting its prey, only one is said to be successful.  The major business goal of a lion is to have a ‘successful hunt’.  If we take statistics of the corporate success, we may get to know that only one of many projects or products become successful.  The success rate may be far more less among corporate than among lions.

Even with limited success in its hunt, lion is truly majestic, fear and respect enticing top predator in the terrestrial ecosystem.  But why many corporate could not create such name and reputation despite growing financially or businesswise big?

Scientific observations have shown that lion is extremely intelligent and knows well as when to roar.  Besides reinforcing its territory or during the breeding season, lion do roar especially when food is scarce or the prey is not in sight.   If it does so, only then it can cause panic among the prey animals.  Only when the prey animals are panic, they get scattered and hence can be noticed by the lion.   When the forest is green & luxuriant and is rich with herbivores, lion rarely roar as it can affect their hunting success adversely.  If they roar during such a situation, it will naturally alarm the animals to move to a safer place.

It is not the roaring or calm lion could become a successful hunter, only one who is a strategist.   Lion also knows when to be calm and when to roar.

How this knowledge will be useful to the corporate?  Importance of being calm & silent and be noisy & advertising approach, every corporate must know.  Most corporate compete in airing their advertisements.  They often create ‘advertisement crowd’ and in the crowd, most of the consumers easily get lost.   That is why only one advertisement out of many becomes successful.

Let us look at it from the perspective of an employee.  In most meeting in corporate, many people believe that unless they speak, they will lose their space and recognition.  When everyone busy in airing their opinion or views to galvanize attention for the self, only noise and confusion, become the end product and none would be listen to any.   Interestingly, in some one man governed corporate, such approach or work style is sold well.    The purpose of such meetings, unfortunately, is never met, but none bothers.

Pursuit of ones’ goal should pre-determine one’s logic as when to remain calm or to roar.  The forest ecosystem genuinely support and facilitate both the lion and its prey to be successful.  If the corporate inculcate such culture, the employees will work for the organizational goal than for the individual’s goal.
