An outdoor wedding is something many brides dream of. There are so many lovely areas in nature that can provide the perfect backdrop for this monumental event of a lifetime. Items to consider include the cake,An Outdoor Wedding to Remember Articles foods to be served, seating and where the couple will tie the knot. Gowns and tuxes are important considerations as well. There are many venues in the great outdoors that are perfect for holding a wedding. The beach, the forest, someone’s backyard, or a flower filled courtyard can all provide wonderful options. Here are some things to think about:

- Beach settings: The beach and ocean have a natural allure and energy that some couples may find extremely romantic. Depending on the region, the native flowers can play a dramatic part in the décor. Hawaiian blossoms such as orchids, tropicals or exotics can adorn the cake, make up bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres. The bridesmaids can don island wear and the reception can be a luau. Fresh pineapple, coconut and roast pork can be on the menu.

- Forest with pine trees: A mountainous setting complete with pine trees can be another beautiful locale. Tall pines make a dramatic backdrop and can show up in floral arrangements in the way of pinecones and evergreen sprigs combined with flowers for arrangements and décor. Woodsy menu items and color schemes can play up the mountaintop ambience. The groom can even wear hiking boots under his tux.

- Backyard: Many homeowners have lovely backyards that are landscaped to perfection. If the bride or groom has friends or loved ones who would love to hold the event on their premises, this could provide a sentimental element along with the picturesque setting. Perhaps this backyard was where the groom popped the question. Any design scheme, gown and menu could fit the backyard marriage.

- Wedding company courtyard: Some wedding companies have perfect courtyard settings available for the happy couple. Package deals that include tables, chairs, gazebos, linens and decorations could be wrapped up for a good price. Different pricing would be in effect depending on the season, menu items selected from the catering company and decorating help needed.

- Rental companies: For marriage ceremonies that are taking place in nature or someone’s yard, chairs, tables, dishes, silverware, fountains, gazebos and more can be rented for the event. Many businesses provide pickup and delivery services, as well.

- Catering: For companies that offer packages, catering will often be included. Options may be full meals, appetizers or dessert buffets. Budget often mandates what types of food are served for these special occasions. For DIY nature planners, many restaurants offer catering to party sites. Some companies simply cater events and parties rather than have a restaurant to manage as well. It would be wise to check out all the options in the area to see which one will work. Getting word-of-mouth references is always important but especially for a party as special as one’s wedding day. While some couples want to tie the knot in a church, many nature buffs would prefer to unite their lives in the presence of mountains, ocean, and trees.
