What is the commonality or similarity one can find between a chameleon and a corporate employee?  Both of them can change their colour according to the situation or need and remain indistinguishable from their surroundings.  The former may be changing its physical colour while the later changes the colour of its behaviour.

In the case of chameleon,If you are inconsistent, you are flexible in corporate Articles the body colour changing phenomena is called camouflage or adaptation whereas the ability/phenomena of corporate employee to change his/her behaviour is called flexibility or very friendly & accommodative nature.   Always such flexible behaviour is well respected and encouraged in most corporate.  Having no behavioural identity is the best needed virtue in corporate for success.

Is there any other strong similarity or parallel we can see between chameleon and a corporate employee besides the colour changing ability?

The colour changing ability is situational and need dependent behaviour.  When the trigger or cause is removed, the behavioural response shall settle down.

Colour change may help only to hide or conceal their identity both from the predator and prey.  But survival lies beyond this behaviour.   The stronger relationship between the chameleon and a corporate employee must be seen and understood at their survival level which is beyond their ability to change the body colour or colour of the behaviour.

Chameleon uses it tongue to catch its prey.  It has such a long and sticky tongue it uses to catch the prey and then swallow.  It is true for corporate employees also as they also use only their tongue to a greater extent to survive in the corporate.

Those who speak a lot and not the one who does a lot are considered as ‘leaders’.  Those who could make some sense while talking are considered as ‘great leaders’ in most corporate.   Corporate success exclusively and necessarily depends upon how quickly one can change his or her behaviour & jell quickly onto the side of the bred that has butter and how quickly they can use their tongue to agree to what boss says is correct.

Those who know to speak well will certainly survive in the best way possible in most corporate.  Tongue less chameleon and tongue less corporate employee can never succeed in their respective ecosystem.  Behaviour or body colour changing ability although may help but only to a limited extent.

Although an absolute similarity can be seen between them, there is also a strong difference.  Chameleon uses its tongue only to catch its prey but the corporate employees use their tongue not only to secure their job (catching the prey), but also to destabilize, malign, gossip and play all skirmish and petty politics in the corporate.   No chameleon ever engages in such business in nature.

Unfortunately, the name chameleon is disrespectfully depicted as clever and cunning but the employees in corporate with all such chameleon characters are venerated or described to be as the best leaders and best achievers.
