IP1 License: Requirement to start Infrastructure as a service

1. Set your eyes on your budget and the resources: As an infrastructure provider of the passive nature, Right of Way, cell Towers, antennas and other resources, you should have a way to fund them. And thus, getting settled and funding yourself is the first thing that you do.
2. Research the telecom operators that you want to provide services to: After you’ve financially measured yourself, you can move ahead with researching the telecom operators that you can provide services to.
3. Register your company: This is where the IP1 License procedure starts. First, you need to establish your business idea of infrastructure provider as a company.
4. File the IP1 License application form: Once you’ve gotten your company incorporated, the next step is to move ahead and file the offline application for IP 1 license. Attach the required documents:
   1. PAN card of the company
   2. Certificate of incorporation of the company
   3. MOA and AOA of the company
   4. KYC details of the directors
   5. The resources you want to provide
   6. A DD of INR 5,000/-
5. Let the application be processed by the officials of DOT.
6. After processing, and quite a bit of follow up, you’ll obtain the IP1 registration certificate, also known as the IP1 license.
