The speed at which the user can grab this item and see something fast that otherwise would have been missed,Nikon 5×15 HG Monocular. Articles is a very attractive quality in a pocket scope. This device is a compact 2.8 inches in length, and has a weight of only 2.7 ounces. The field of view is quite amazing at 471 feet at a distance of 1000 yards. This wide field of view offsets the 5x mag. The eye relief is a generous 15.8 mm, and will offer comfort for those who wear glasses. When using this scope you will take notice of how flat the field of view is, making the over all field more usable for sights than on other scopes. This item has a 3 mm exit pupil. It’s not much, but is quite alright for a monocular of this slight build.

This monocular offers the user a great experience viewing colors. The lesser magnification of 5x actually appears to be helpful in viewing colors due to it’s lack of blur lines. The device does well at gathering light, and offers crisp images that are bright and full of contrast. The scope has a close focus of about 21 inches, and it quite good at viewing smaller creatures while out in the field. With the delivery you will receive the monocular, an ocular cap, a lanyard, and a carrying case. The case is made of a durable vinyl material, and should last for years. The ocular cap fits quite nicely and offers excellent lens protection when not in use. We consider this scope to be great for bird watching, nature walking, target spotting for outdoors men, and this item would be awesome for indoor events. Dog shows, or horse shows, as well as indoor and outdoor concerts can and will be better enjoyed with such a compact portable viewing device.

This item is highly recommended and comes standard with Nikon’s 25 year limited no fault warranty. To say it differently, the item is covered, even if the problem was caused by it’s user. That is a very pleasant warranty to have. We expect users of this product to be quite satisfied and to have the use of it for years and years. With it’s field of view being greater than that of larger monocular products, and those with higher mag, the users of this Nikon will be thankful for it’s size, and convenience in carry along ability.
