Continuous Improvement/Lean Coordinator Tillsonburg,Guest Posting Ontario

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the continuous improvement process
  • Design seminars and workshops
  • Teach and use the traditional problem-solving skills including: brainstorming, cause and effect diagrams, Pareto analysis, 5 Whys, 5 S housekeeping, P-D-C-A problem solving, and related topics
  • Conduct value stream maps/workflow analysis, one-piece flow production, workplace organization and setup reduction.
  • Apply statistical process control concepts
  • Lead Kaizen events, train and guide members working on lean processes.
  • Execute specific lean production projects, facilitating teams and task forces
  • Develop, lead and manage multiple projects, utilizing common project management methodologies.
  • Provide strong follow-up, organization and prioritization skills
  • Identify areas of process improvement opportunities
  • A key role in the development of a Lean culture throughout the Company.
  • Comply with all safety procedures as required by the Health & Safety Act and/or Company practices or procedures including but not limited to the wearing of all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as specified by the Act or designated by the Company.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post Secondary education from a college or university in engineering, business, administration or related field.
  • Experience with Lean Methodology, Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proven experience with managing large, complex projects
  • Must be able to climb, crawl, crouch/squat, reach sit and stand for periods of time.
  • Proven communication and excellent written skills
  • Proven skills in Team building, group dynamics, and process facilitation
  • Able to create Seminar and workshop design and implementation
  • Able to perform workflow analysis and related industrial engineering techniques
  • Proven skills to create statistical process control
  • Must possess a variety of coaching techniques
  • Productivity analysis
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
