Out of all the things I love about this phone,Samsung Tocco – Touch Screen Maestro Articles the incredible capabilities of this camera phone’s touch screen is definitely tops on my list.  I’ve been testing the phone and trying to find some serious drawback to it, and although I haven’t given up on looking for one, neither have I developed a big complaint yet, either.

What you’ll notice first about the phone is the sleek design that makes the touch screen a highly prominent feature.  The touch screen display stretches close to a full three inches across the brushed aluminum exterior.   The finished color is technically Ice Silver and has a beautiful black under color.  The new Touchwiz User Interface replaces the old Croix system and even has a special UK interface.

There are widgets that will allow you to customize the interface and make it your own, allowing you to maximize ease of use and productivity.   The applications move with the touch of a finger for drag and drop ease.

The interface combines the clarity of digital with the naturalness of analog in a highly intuitive interface designed in groundbreaking digilog technology.

Samsung has incorporated Haptic touch screen technology to give tactile feedback to the user when the touch has been recognized.

The camera uses the entire screen for displaying what it sees, helping you to frame the best possible shot.  The screen stretches almost 3 inches across.  The display size is 240 x 320 pixels, and although it only displays in 256 colors you won’t be able to tell by looking at it;  I found the display colors to be rich and engrossing.

The huge screen allows for real readability in the document viewer, which will display both PowerPoint and Office documents.  Same goes for using the calendar, contacts, scheduler and your to-do list.  I usually buy the largest monitor for my computer that I can, so I definitely define readability a bit differently than some people.   Essentially, if I still consider it readable then so will the vast majority of people.

There’s onboard editing tools for photos and videos, which makes the large screen a great tool that makes the editing tools actually usable.

This camera phone definitely is a touch screen beauty offering an incredible level of simplicity in combination with power.  The camera is front facing, which means that you’ll be able to easily use it for video conversations.

You’ll also be able to put this delicious screen to good use with the video player.

Of course this phone has a lot more going for it than just a great display screen.  The camera phone has enough muscle to compete with stand alone camera phones with a whole complement of powerful features.  The phone itself uses the latest in internet and communication technologies.  Partly it’s just that I’m particularly appreciate of the fact that it comes in such a beautiful package and its been made to easy to use.
