The new Motorola FlipOut is the latest Android operated Smartphone from the manufacturer, boasting a list of impressive features. It offers unique styling and design with a five row QWERTY keyboard which “flips” out from behind the screen hence the name of the phone.

The FlipOut measures 67x 67x 17 mm giving it compact dimensions along with a unique square shape.  It weighs in at a lightweight 120 g making it pocket friendly and a pleasure to hold and use on the move.

As expected from a Smartphone of this calibre, a number of different connectivity methods are utilised in order to provide the Motorola FlipOut with optimum levels of connectivity to cellular networks and the Internet.  Connection to cellular networks is provided thanks to class 12 GPRS & EDGE.  A fast Internet connection is available courtesy of an HSDPA connection at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second alongside HSUPA at 2 MB per second.  The inclusion of Wi-Fi Technology means that a faster connection can be attained whenever it detects the signals provided by wireless Internet routers, which it utilises to provide an enhanced browsing experience at broadband speeds.

A long list of features and applications offers a wide appeal to a range of different users.  The Android v2.1 (Eclair) OS works alongside a powerful 700 MHZ processor which handles demanding applications with ease.  Entertainment features include a versatile internal media player, a number of pre-installed games and a stereo FM radio player.  Social networking integration with live updates is included which allow users to a catch up with friends and family and share their thoughts in a matter of seconds via popular websites such as Facebook, MySpace and twitter.  Productivity tasks can be easily carried out thanks to the handy organiser, document viewer and voice memo recorder.  GPS with A-GPS support is also included as standard which allows features such as the digital compass to function.
