In this article I clarify that it is really important that you have a couple of characteristics to succeed in a home based business. Review yourself first in stead of the opportunity.

If you are seriously considering working a home based business,A Review Of Yourself. Articles you have some research to do. Thousands of people see the potential for building a business working at home and realize the potential of the internet for doing this. Before making decisions as significant as starting your own business, it is imperative that you have all the information you need.

Choosing the right business is not the first step on the road to success. It takes time, effort and determination to start making a good income from the internet, so the first thing that you have to do is a honest review of Yourself and not the business or opportunity.

1. You have to have a big reason why. I was sick and tired of not having enough money to do whatever I wanted. I started my home business and everybody around me was making fun of me. The gave me the 'you-are-not-going-to-make-that-happen-look'. It drove me bananas that special look. Also my contract as a physical trainer ended 6 months later.

2. Have a work hard mentality. I worked 80 to 90 hours a week. Fulltime day JOB, parttime at home with my business. It's sometimes very tough when you come home from work and have the discipline to continue your business. I reside in Europe, I can work for long hours because of the different timezones.

3. Have an action mindset. Don't just take action, take massive focused action. Activity is what creates results, not positive thinking. I followed many self-improvement courses, (still) read a lot of self-improvementbooks, studied Napoleon Hill and many other great writers. But besides that, you have to take the necessary action.

4. Dont't be afraid of failure. Learn of mistakes so you like mistakes. As I said many times to myself. There are no failures, only results.

5. Be teachable. Because of this new business, I had to learn many things. I am grateful that I have met wonderful people who taught me the ins and outs of marketing. Terry Duff, Gino Niccoli, Robert Shiloh and Brian McCoy are very nice and knowledged people and have the patience to teach me the techniques and tools of marketing.

So in conclusion, if you really have the desire and devotion to start your business, take the first steps of reviewing yourself and not the business. I don't say the business is not important, but only your visions and actions become your reality!
