It's undoubtedly the case that dress codes have changed considerably in recent years. So much so, in fact, that many of us struggle to know what to wear on occasions where we do really need to dress up.

Weddings are an example of an occasion where we might be expected to dress smartly. If you need to buy new shoes for such an event then you should aim to buy them well in advance.

Don't be tempted to leave your purchase until the last minute. If you do so, you won't have the opportunity to wear them in. This could result in your having to wear a very uncomfortable pair of shoes.

Decide on a style of shoes that suits the occasion, as well as your own personal taste.

Importantly, you should not forget to polish them too. By following these simple rules, you can ensure that you look the part.
