Bloggers face some interesting challenges over the next years in terms of making it a sustainable way of generating income. First and foremost,New Income Streams for Bloggers Articles the space is a lot more crowded than it was 5-10 years ago. Secondly, Google Adsense rates aren't quite what they were before and it is easier to get kicked off the platform for any minor, even unintentional violations. Lastly, companies are hiring individuals to run their own blogs, and newspapers with high rank are moving towards the same.

So how is a blogger to generate income if they want to remain in this space. Firstly, those whose blog has a high page ranking by Google say pr6 or higher, can charge individuals a small fee to guest post on their blog. These individuals are happy to comply because the backlinks themselves will increase their rank for SEO (Search Engine Optimization). It also legitimizes their brand in that they can be seen as an expert in a certain area.

Next, bloggers will invest heavily in affiliate programs in place. Amazon is one such provider since they have such a vast amount of products to work with. Bloggers should beware that they will require an additional affiliate account, and will cough up a big percentage to the platform. Framestris another option. This website lets bloggers embed a mini-store below a review for a product. If any purchases are made within the frame, the blogger gets a kickback set by the vendor. There are also additional companies that use these types of marketing methods such as Commission Junction which has an incredibly vast network of blogs to work with.

There are ideological issues at play. Many feel bloggers are selling out by making a commission off sales on their site. They are far more likely to give a product a positive review if it means a user will buy it and they will get a kick back.

The blogging space is set to encounter big challenges over the next decade. As more marketing platforms enter the space it will completely change the way shoppers interact with their favourite influencers.
