Another area where the students have been continuously competing is upcoming bank exams as they provide satisfying and secure bank jobs. Additionally, banks in public sector in india are now also providing handsome salaries. These factors altogether are enough to attract lots of young people of the country towards themselves. This is the reason behind so many people now a days are competing for highly competitive bank exams. 
The major changes that have arrived in the basic testing methodoloigies of the main entrance exams is aptitude based testing rather than knowledge based testing.The proof of thes statement lies in the facts in some currrent trends. These trends include huge pattern shift in the reputed ias exam (also called civil service exam), according to this change the preliminary test in the ias exam has now been replaced with civil service aptitude test (CSAT). This test is totally aptitude based and focuses on bringing the students under one umbrella that belonged to different educational backgrounds. Thus this change has bring all the students to the same level for testig them for the most prestigious civil services of the country at an equillibrium.  
The major change in pattern of various bank exams of the country is that from now onwards all the 19 main public sector banks will recuit through a common written test organized by the IBPS(insitute of banking personnel selection). This exam called ibps cwe will be conducted twice in an year. Once for PO/Specialist Officers' and once for clercial posts in the 19 public sector banks. After the results of this cwe exam come out all the successful candidates will receive a scorecard from ibps that will be entry card directly into the interview phase of the individual recruitment drives of the banks during that one year of validity.
