Most of us have trouble thinking of things to write about. We'll sit ourselves down in a chair,How To Gather Inspiration For Songwriting Articles tell ourselves today's the day to finally write that song and then we end up finding ourselves sitting in that chair all day with no ideas whatsoever. So what should we do? How do we come up with brilliant ideas that'll touch touch the hearts of everyone who listens?

Well first of all, before we can expect anyone else to be in love with our songs, we have to be in love with them ourselves. If we're not in love with our own songs, how can we expect others to be? This is why it is so important to write about what we are most passionate about.

What's most important to you in life? What do you think about more than anything else? Do not try to copy someone else's writing style.
Everyone is born with his or her own unique passions and his or her passions can never be duplicated. That being said, focus on your own passions. Write about what you love because when you eventually play the song live, the audience's reaction will reflect the level of passion you have for your own song.

When performing, your emotion is very contagous to the audience. If you are bored, the audience will be bored. If you are scared, the audience will be scared, but if you are up there having the time of your life, then there is no way the audience will not feel the same way! How do you have the time of your life on stage? You have the time of your life by doing what you love and singing about what you are passionate about!

So how do you gather inspiration for writing incredible songs? Do what you love! Put yourself in an incredible mood by doing things that you enjoy! What do you love doing? Do you love sports, reading, watching great movies, spending time with your kids and spouse, going to church, reading the bible, going on a hike, shopping, traveling or eating? Whatever it is you enjoy, do it and put yourself in a great mood!

Your mind will flourish with all sorts of incredible ideas when your mind is thinking positively! You are much more likely to come up with great songwriting ideas when you are in a good spontaneous mood rather than feeling pressured, rushed, bored or even sleepy.

Never force yourself to sit down and write! Instead go do your favorite things and fill your being with inspiration and passion by listening to your favorite music, watching inspirational movies or TV shows, or anything that will fill your mind with positive energy.

Positive energy will cause you to think productively and expand the imagination tenfold! This is your link to the genius hidden deep inside you! Tap into that and you'll be writing songs that you will not only have a great time playing but the audience will have a great time hearing as well!
Best of blessings to your writing and have a great time with it! Remember this is supposed to be fun! Its not office work so never treat it as such! Music is the secret language of inner passion so make sure the audience understands your greatest passions simply by listening to your music!
