NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will showcase the original works of Dutch artist Menno Vos in the exhibition "Divergent Realities." The event will commence on November 8, 2016, and run through November 30, 2016, with an opening reception on Thursday, November 10, from 6-8 PM.
Menno Vos, an artist hailing from Apeldoorn, Netherlands, delves into the interplay of texture and color in his abstract paintings, drawing inspiration from the natural world. Vos employs a unique technique that involves both constructing and deconstructing his three-dimensional patterns. He puddles paint and etches deep grooves into it, layering thin, continuous drips over abrupt, energetic daubs. Vos's artistic inspirations stem from the "people I meet, images I see, and emotions I feel during traveling."
