Stretching is considered very important by the fitness experts and it is part of the warm up process in almost every sport or activity. Stretching is not only important for professional athletes but the amateurs can also greatly benefit from it. Stretching is a great way of connecting your mind and body together in order to improve fitness and make the most out of every workout. Stretching is also important for bodybuilders for a variety of reasons. Some of the benefits of stretching for bodybuilders are mentioned below.

Moreover, there are 2 types of stretching:

Active Stretching: It is a type of stretching in which you take your muscles beyond their natural range of motion by taking some sort of assistance or help.

Passive Stretching: It is that type of stretching in which no external assistance is taken to stretch muscles and that is why it is considered less effective for improving flexibility as compared to active stretching.

Some stretching tips.

 It is very important to hold every stretch for at least 30 seconds to get the most out of stretching exercises. Various exercises should be used in order to stretch the whole body in order to improve overall flexibility. One should breathe deeply during stretches in order to get best results. Stretching exercises should also be performed between the sets in order to improve recovery process of the targeted muscle. It is very important that we don’t push our muscles to their extreme limit during stretches in order to avoid injuries because stretching should be a pleasant experience. Moreover, taking some help from your training partner in order to do active stretching will give you greater flexibility.
