Many recent studies show that people die from inactivity,Health Benefits of Sex | Live Longer and Look Younger Articles not just from aging. We know that as people age, they lose muscle, their immunities weaken and because of their weakened immunity, they are more likely to die of cancer and infectious diseases. As you age, you lose your ability to kill germs because of lack of muscle. When germs get into your body, you must make white blood cells and proteins called antibodies to kill them. Antibodies and cells are made from protein and the only place that you can store extra protein is in your muscles. When you have large muscles, you have a ready source of protein to make antibodies and cells. When you have small muscles, you have a very limited source of amino acids to make protein, so your immunity may be inadequate for its job of killing germs.

You need antibodies to control cancer cells also. Each day, every healthy body makes millions of cancer cells. Your white blood cells and protein antibodies are necessary to ferret out and kill these cancer cells. You develop cancer when these cancer cells survive and start growing. Having large muscles gives you the source of protein to make antibodies that kill cancer cells as well as germs. Furthermore, when your skeletal muscles are small, so is your heart muscle. A strong heart can withstand arteriosclerosis and infections that can kill a weak heart.

Lack of exercise causes muscles to get smaller. With aging, it takes increasingly longer to recover from exercise. When older people get injured or get tired too soon or feel sore too early, they do less and less or they stop exercising altogether. Instead, they should be exercising more intelligently so they can retain their muscles. A major advantage of competing in sports at any age is that you can learn good training techniques and how to avoid injuries. If you can exercise into your nineties and beyond without quitting or getting injured, you can retain muscle mass, keep up your immunity and live longer and healthier.

Tips for healthy living:

Exercise. It is time to stretch those muscles and burn unwanted fats. Stay in shape with regular exercise like walking and jogging. This way you maintain your weight and figure too.

Balanced diet. Include nutritious foods in your diet like lots of fruits and vegetables. Avoid fatty foods, alcoholic drinks, and processed food products. You should also minimize eating sweets and junk foods.

Proper rest. You have to avoid stress since it is one of the major causes of early aging and serious health problems. Take time to relax and unwind to reenergize your mind and body.

Each cell of our entire body is constantly being bombarded by free radicals. These free radicals are naturally occurring in our body and can cause our cells to not be able to function to peak performance. As we get older we all subject our bodies to stress, lack of sleep, chemicals, pollutants, etc. Due to these harsh environments, our bodies become tired, we lose mental focus, our energy begins to decline, and our lifestyles become mundane. This is why antioxidants play such an important role in our cells. Antioxidants help to alleviate the build up of these free radicals, and keep our cells clean.

Now, our cells have different antioxidants that correspond to different free radicals. Glutathione on the other hand is our cells master antioxidant and can take on all free radicals. The problem that doctors were seeing is that your body begins to drop in glutathione levels dramatically after age 20. Since glutathione plays such a vital role in helping us to live longer lives it seems vitally important to keep our glutathione levels high.

You may be thinking, "Well, this is an easy fix. I'll just go online or to my local health food store, and pick myself up a glutathione supplement". I wish it was this simple. Unfortunately, most products on the market that claim to provide your body with a natural amount of glutathione can not do as they claim. You see, when a molecule of glutathione in a pill form hits your digestive tract, the molecule of glutathione is too large for it to pass through the cell wall. This posed a large problem among many scientific minds, until a doctor by the name of Robert Keller found a way to utilize the three amino acids, that make up glutathione.

He found a way to place each of the three amino acids, that make up glutathione, into a supplement that when distributed into your body, are able to pass through the cell membrane and be picked up by each cells mitochondria. The mitochondria of each of your cells places the amino acids back together, forming a glutathione molecule, so your body can redistribute the molecule to the rest of your body. Since, glutathione helps to keep each and every cell of your body alive longer, this in turn helps us a human beings to have longer lives. Although, glutathione can not claim to make you immortal, it does help to answer the question how we can live longer, and be healthier while we're doing it!
