I Have a Pimple!!! Now What?

Oh No!  I have a job interview, my first or blind date, the prom, or I am meeting my fiancé's family for the first time and what do I see???  A  Pimple!  Although it may seem like it, it's not the end of the world.  Yes, pimples do seem to appear at the most inconvenient times.  Just when we want to make sure we look our best and want to make a good impression - there's that nasty little pimple right on your chin.  What to do?  Of course, you want to make that ugly "thing" go away.  Your first inclination is to pick at the pimple, pop it, squeeze it - do anything to make it disappear.  But, that never works.  If you mess with it by squeezing or picking, it will just look worse, get red and irritated and it could even cause a permanent acne scar to appear sooner or later.  You must leave it alone - and it will eventually go away on its own.  But what do you do in the meantime?Your first line of defense is to gently clean your face and apply make-up.  Apply the make-up sparingly and blend, blend, blend.  You will still have a bump, but the make-up should help conceal the redness and inflammation of the pimple.  Even men can use this concealing trick - remember men, this is an emergency, not an everyday make-up event.  There are even medicated acne creams that are tinted in various shades to help cover up your blemish and will help to heal it at the same it.  Either get one that matches the make-up you already use or one that is closest to your skin color so they blend easily together.You are not the first person to get a pimple just prior to a big event - just make sure you don't make it worse by poking or picking at the pimple.  Make the best of a bad situation by concealing the pimple the best you can, smile and have a great time!
