The very first thing that you will want to do is to get familiar with the new design of your kitchen,Install Kitchen Cabinets - The First Step Is Finding The High Point Of The Floor Articles and then you will want to find the high point of the floor. You will want to take your time and get this step just right. By getting this step right to start with, you are going to make things a lot easier.

So, it makes this step critical in the success of your new kitchen cabinet installation. The high point of the floor is the reference point that you will use for the entire installation process.

So, the very first thing that you will want to do is to measure up from the floor thirty inches and place a mark on the wall. Wherer the cabinets are going to be installed, measure up thirty inches from the floor and place a mark there, then draw a level line around the kitchen.

Measure up from the floor every two feet or so around the kitchen and jot down the measurements at each spot. Jot down each measurement on the wall, and once you have determined which measurement is the smallest, you have found the high point of the floor.

Measure up thrity four and a half inches from this high point and place a new mark on the kitchen wall. To establish the top of the base cabinets, draw a new level line at the new mark of thrity four and a ahalf inches. The top of the base cabinets is now established and will represent the reference point for the rest of the kitchen installation.

One thing that I want to stress here is to take your time leveling the lines around the walls. This is like the foundation to a house. It has to be perfectly level. Something that you might want to do is to visit your local rental store and rent a laser level for this step. This will give you the most precise level line available, and you can rest assured that the start of your kitchen installation will be exact.
