Making a living online has become a viable way to thrive in a tough world economy.

It takes revenue to make a full time income,Guest Posting and that can be harder to come by than it looks. How do you transform your ideas into real earnings? It isn't easy, but it is certainly workable. The way that most do it is to get as targeted as they possibly can with their niche. If you do not yet have a niche, you are doing your business and your site a disservice. While you may think that millions of followers on Twitter is better than 1,000 targeted people of interest, you would be wrong. Targeted audience members are people that you can depend on to at least listen to what you have to say. The millions of followers that you desire probably don’t care in the least about what you have to say. They may not even notice that you are there.

Sites like Twitter and Facebook have made it much easier to find the people with whom you most connect, and that can be greatly valuable from a marketing perspective. But how do you take your popularity and translate it to dollars and cents? You start by making sure that your advertising dollars are going to the right places. You wouldn't advertise in a women's magazine if you are the author of a hardcore horror novel, would you? Then why do so far too many advertisers give millions of dollars for a 30 second ad in the Super Bowl every February? The answer is that they don’t agree how to build revenue, or at least maximize it, through targeted online advertising. If they did, you might never see another commercial on television.

Some of the ways that you can advertise online follow:

1. Do a guest blog

Find a site that is in your area of interest, that already has an established audience that you agree is interested in the same things as you, and do a guest blog post for that site, free of charge, on a topic that is of interest to them. When you take this step, you can be certain that, if you do your job well, people will want to agree more about your business.

2. Use text ads on another site

Paying for advertising is not a bad thing if you can have a little way to track your earnings and your response rates. By using keyword targeted ads, you can be guaranteed that people, who are searching for your keywords, will see your ad. Each time there is a click, you will have to pay the site, but those clicks can translate into big dollars. And best of all, the associations that really work can shed light on who to place your banner ads with.
