The Internet's most interesting sites are hard to find with Google, Yahoo, and MSN running the show. These search engines only provide results that are most relevant, but not necessarily most interesting or what users are most looking for. In an attempt to cure the mundane and boring lives of the Internet these two college roommates from Imperial College,The Cure for Internet Boredom Articles London, Christian Clough and Ashkan Miri, have created a great place to "Blam." UBlam is the next cool thing in both Internet advertising and a great way to pass the time and boredom of a regular day.

For its users, UBlam provides an interesting array of unusual sites to view and Blam through in the attempt to peak the user's interest. One of its best features is to get fascinating sites, that would most likely be missed by searching on Google or Yahoo, recognition for there creativity and ingenuity. This is mainly because these sites are so unique most people wouldn't know what to search for to find them.

An important note is how their advertising is organized. Instead of using a flat rate for banners the site uses competition to drive its ad sales up. The site is entirely capitalistic. The advertisers determine how much they are willing to pay for space and the more they spend the more often they appear. Not any site gets put on mind you only those pre-approved by the two students will be allowed. Some of the criteria for site approval includes: interesting content or design, this of course necessary for their users to continue blamming; providing a service people might actually want; and keeping everything cool.

These two students found a way to use other peoples interesting ideas and websites to drive people to their own. As well as use the advertisers own competition for space to drive the price for space on their website through the
