  • It is expensive to start: This is not true. Starting up a smart home can be done in a gradual process. The homeowner can start with a smart hub and a smart device, then gradually grow it into a smart home.
  • Lack of Privacy: This belief is only true when the home is subject to a cyberattack, but privacy is highly ensured and provided in the absence of any cyberattack.
  • Smart Homes consume energy: This is false. The majority of the Smart devices in a smart home come with sensors that automatically turn them off to save power and costs. Some devices also have sensors that allow them to adapt to certain changes in their surroundings.
  • All Smart Devices work together: The belief that all Smart devices instantly work together after installation is totally false. This is because smart Homes use Home automation systems, and as a system, the devices need to be incorporated into the system before they can function together.
  • Smart homes are not a worthwhile investment: Well, this opinion is only true depending on a person’s point of view. If you look at the benefits it provides, they are worthwhile investments. But, if a person is not a fan of technological advancement, then they are not worthwhile.
