This coming election is far more important to the way our country is run than any other over the past decade. The focus of the media has mainly been on the most important of the races,To the Citizens of Kansas Articles the Presidential; however house and senate members are being voted on as well.

This election may either make or break the Democrats. They may lose the Senate as well as lose more seats in the house or gain seats in the Senate and Reps. If the latter is the case, many great things will happen for the party. The course of the country could very well change and the economy be put back on track. In the other case, which seems to be more likely since the last redistricting was under Republican control, the Democrats will not be able to get anything accomplished. Their bills will be filibustered and their say in both houses will be diminished if at all even present.

Kansas shows a bright spot in all the madness surrounding the party. In the Second District Rep. Jim Ryun’s seat is in trouble. A lady by the name of Nancy Boyda is putting a fight for the position. She broke several records for funds by a Democrat in the second district. Her views are that of a Moderate Democrat however she is viewed as having great values and will respect and listen to the voters of the state.

Her opponent, Jim Ryun, has been in the House of Representatives too long. His views are disrespectful to Kansas as well as many throughout the United States. Even though Kansas shot down a State Constitutional Amendment banning Gay Marriage by a great margin, he voted in favor of a U.S. Constitutional Amendment going against the people of Kansas.

This however is not the only reason why Congressman Ryun should be voted out of the House of Representatives in November. I have personally contacted Rep. Ryun several times and have yet to receive a legitimate response. He ignores the citizens of Kansas and United States.

Citizens of Kansas, let’s get a new Representative in Congress. Vote for Nancy Boyda in November.
