I have to admit this immediately…I am not a web designer or developer,Posting Blogs On WordPress—Which CMS Do You Prefer For Posting Blogs? Articles and I hardly have any real technical knowledge or know-how when it comes to coding or using Joomla perfectly.  So, what can you expect from reading this blog?  Well, let’s just say that I am going to talk about my first experience with content management systems, and one very simple reason why I prefer WordPress instead of Joomla when it comes to posting blogs.First, do you even know what a content management system is, or even what Joomla and WordPress are?

Joomla and WordPress are content management system’s (CMS.)  These amazing programs, (which are free by the way) allow web developers to build websites and a lot of other amazingly powerful online applications.  Inevitably, a content management system is a program/tool/system (or whatever you like to refer to it as) that will keep a record of as well as track every piece of content on your website (which can also be built with WordPress or Joomla) much like your college library keeps track of books when you need to reference them for papers you have to write!

A CMS, whether it be WordPress or Joomla, are great programs if the average person (well not so average—you have to be somewhat computer savvy) wants to manage or add content to his or her website.  When it comes to a CMS, the content you can add can be text, pictures, music, movies, any kind of text documents, or just about anything you can imagine.  Inevitably, Joomla and WordPress are supposed to be very easy to use.

But, which one do I prefer?  Me, being the content writer who posts blogs on a daily basis and a non-coder?  Well, I have to go with WordPress.

Why?

Don’t get me wrong, Joomla is great, but I prefer the very easy on the eyes layout that WordPress has.  Joomla is ok, but somehow it looks a little bit too cluttered for my eyes.  Or maybe I’m just not tech savvy enough to understand it…or experienced.

But…give me a WordPress blog to log in to any day, and I will get that blog posted!  WordPress is very easy to look at and navigating through it is incredibly simple.  In fact, the first time I used it it took a matter of 5 minutes in order for me to be instructed on how to use it.  Better yet, most of what I know about using WordPress I figured out myself!Talk about simple!

Content, content, content, content is the king—just had to say that, hello, content writer here!WordPress is definitely ideal for putting any kind of content on the Internet, but Joomla is also not that bad either! You just have to figure out which one you prefer…Thoughts?
