Why Pocket Watches is Cool

First of all, let’s take a look at the history of the pocket watches.  The watch has been around for around five centuries.  They’ve been used throughout the 1600s-1900s and they were fashionable items back then.  However, by the First World War, they were replaced by wristwatches because soldiers needed a more convenient way of looking at the time.  Soldiers in battle simply didn’t have the time to look for watches hidden deep within their pockets.   Still, manufacturers continued making them and they’re still used up to today.  These items are very historical. 

I always saw pocket watches in movies.  I always admired people who owned and used one of these because they appeared so royal and cool.  When I received my first watch, the feeling didn’t disappear.  It’s still as cool as I thought it’d be the first time I saw it.  What I admire about the watch is not just the fact that I can use it to tell the time.  I can also use it as a fashion accessory.  You could say that these classical watches are not out of style.  In fact, they are very ‘in’, even though not everyone uses them. 

Using pocket watches when going to social gatherings is a great idea.  Forget about boring old jewellery.  You could always see jewellery wherever you go.  Bracelets, necklaces, rings, and bangles are kind of boring because you see them all the time.  However, pocket watches are not easy to come by.  Most people can’t appreciate the beauty of the watch because they never tried looking at the different models.  They all think that all of these watches look old and boring.  Yes, some may be old and some may be new, but they are all very cool to look at, even if you aren’t into the whole ‘classic’ thing.

Pocket watches aren’t something that should be looked down upon.  They are fashionable, useful, cool, and very historical.  You should check out the different selections that are available.  You’d be amazed at the different designs that are available out there.  There is certainly a watch that will be approved even by the most discriminating and eccentric tastes. 

Using pocket watches as gifts is not a bad idea, too.  You’d be sharing to others a piece of history.  They’ll definitely love a gift like that because they’re gifts that are not usually given.  However, be sure to buy one that will reflect the taste of the person.  There are watches for guys and girls.
